About Me

Arley Gomez is an independent hip-hop artist, music producer, DJ, drummer, and songwriter born in Honduras. From a young age, his passion for music flourished, inspired by experiences in competitive marching bands and the nostalgic sounds of the 1970s and 80s that filled his childhood drives through the stunning South American mountains with his father. In 2016, Arley moved to St. Louis, Missouri, to support his family's business, marking the beginning of his journey in America. His job in furniture reupholstery not only provided stability but also honed his precision and creativity, further fueling his dedication to music-making. As he bridges cultural influences in his sound, Arley's artistry reflects both his roots and his experiences, positioning him as a unique voice in today's hip-hop landscape. By 2019, the father of 3 began writing and recording his own songs under the stage name "YLB Nevergiveup" and began DJ-ing under the name DJ Kique by 2023. 2 Years later YLB Soundwave LLC was founded, where Gomez can now share his love of music, and help those of like mind reach their creative goals.
